Questions to Ask Before You Rebrand

Your Guide to Marketing Must-Haves

Why Rebrand?

Your brand is the face of your business; it’s the first thing potential clients will notice. A unified, cohesive brand is a key part of nailing that first impression and telling the story of your organization. A consistent brand image across all platforms will elevate your overall business presence and credibility, especially if done correctly. Think about your brand as it currently stands – does it represent who you are?

At Pearl Jade Marketing, we’re here to help make sure your new look is as unique as your business, as well as still staying true to your mission and values. The question is, what should you think about when it’s time to rebrand?

What’s My Story?

From the very first glance, your brand image should tell clients who you are and what you believe in. Our experienced designers and marketing professionals will work with you to create an overall concept for your branding package that focuses on the most important elements of your business and will visually communicate the story you want to tell to your clients and customers.

When your social media pages, website, and printed materials all have the same look and feel to them, your business is presented as credible and confident in your identity. Logos, fonts, and a custom color palette are all part of the picture, and we’ll help you put together a brand that reflects exactly who you are.

What Is a Logosuite?

Perhaps the most important part of any brand is the logo, the most outward-facing part of your business. It’s often broken down into three different versions: the primary logo, the secondary logo, and the submark. The primary logo will be used most often and convey the most information, including the full name of the business and any taglines or additional details. It should be featured on all larger brand assets.

The secondary logo is a simplified version of the primary logo, usually removing the smaller aspects and focusing on the business name and creative elements.

Finally, the submark logo is reduced to only the artistic elements of the full logo for easy brand identification. It may be used as social media profile photos or as watermarks on other assets.

Do I Have a Color Palette?

The colors that represent your business often go hand-in-hand with your logo and contribute to your overall identity. Whether you opt for warmer colors or cooler shades, these choices affect your look and will make a difference in how potential clients perceive you. Your brand palette should consist of at least three colors that are used across all digital and print assets. Combined with your logo, these colors will help to make your brand more recognizable and easily spotted in the sea of advertisements your clients see on a daily basis. And when they recognize you, they’ll remember you!

Do My Fonts Reflect My Business & Vision?

The fonts used on your website, social media graphics, and printed materials can have a large effect on the way your business is seen by others. Not only should you make sure to use the same fonts on everything you produce, but it is also important that you stick to only one or two typefaces. Too many font choices can be overwhelming and distract from your message; your written content should be clear, easy to read, and consistent. We can help find the font that best represents you, your business, and your story.
